Step-by-Step Car Cover Installation

• Step 1: Identify the front label tag on the cover. (Even if it’s not specifically marked “FRONT,” that tag indicates the front.) Start at the rear of your vehicle and gently roll the cover forward over the roof and hood.
• Step 2: Align the cover so it’s centered on the vehicle, then pull it down evenly over the mirrors and sides to ensure a balanced, secure fit.
• Step 3: Continue adjusting the cover until it sits smooth and snug across the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle.
• Step 4: Use the integrated straps to secure the cover in place. Run the straps beneath the front and rear bumpers and clip them together to prevent the cover from shifting in wind.

For Custom-Fit covers: Follow the same process, but for best results, secure the cover over the mirrors before fitting the front and rear sections.

Important Warnings

• Never cover a wet vehicle.
• Allow the engine, exhaust, and tailpipe to fully cool down before covering.
• Ensure all windows and sun/moon roofs are completely closed before installing the cover.
• Do not use a car cover on a recently painted vehicle. Always confirm the paint is fully cured.
• If the vehicle was recently waxed, make sure the wax has fully dried before covering.
• Do not cover a convertible when the top is down.
• Avoid covering your vehicle immediately after driving—allow it to cool completely first.
• After prolonged sun exposure, let the vehicle’s surface cool before installing the cover.

Removing Your Car Cover

To remove the cover, simply unclip the straps and roll it off from front to back. Carefully fold and store the cover in the included storage bag to keep it clean and ready for the next use. Properly storing your cover in the bag prevents damage, reduces wrinkles, and extends the cover's lifespan.

• How do I identify the front of the car cover? Look for the small white label sewn into the cover—this tag indicates the front. Even if it isn’t marked “FRONT,” the label always represents the front side of the cover.

• How do I install the cable lock set? The cable lock set, included with our Supreme Shield and Gold Shield 5L Car covers, comes with a cable, lock, and key. To install it, thread the cable through the grommets located at the midpoint of the cover, guide the cable underneath your vehicle, and secure both ends using the lock. This helps keep your cover firmly in place and provides added security.

• How do I use the antenna patch? For vehicles with a fixed or non-retractable antenna, start by placing the cover on the vehicle from the front tag and gently pulling it backward until it reaches the antenna. Mark the exact point where the antenna touches the cover. Carefully create a small hole at this spot, making it just large enough for the antenna to pass through. Slide the cover over the antenna, then apply the included patch around the opening. This reinforces the area, prevents tearing, and maintains the protective integrity of the cover.

• Can I use a car cover in the rain? Yes. Outdoor covers are designed to protect against rain, snow, and moisture. Always ensure your vehicle is dry before covering to avoid trapping humidity.

• Are car covers safe in windy conditions? Yes, as long as they are properly secured. Use the built-in straps, and consider adding optional wind straps for added stability in high-wind areas. The option to purchase wind straps will be available in your cart and again at checkout for added convenience.

• Do car covers scratch the paint? A quality car cover will not scratch your vehicle when used correctly. Make sure the car is clean before covering it, and remove dust from the inside of the cover when needed.

• Can an outdoor car cover be used indoors? Yes. Outdoor car covers are fully breathable and safe for indoor use, preventing moisture buildup while protecting against dust and scratches. Indoor-only covers, however, should not be used outdoors because they are not designed for weather exposure.
